In 2012, what began as a few casual lessons soon grew into something much bigger. At the time, professional-level coaching and structured player development were rare in Brisbane. Players wanted guidance. Parents wanted support. And the community needed something real — not just another weekend clinic.

Through years of professional baseball around the world, I learned that development is about more than throwing harder or hitting further. It’s about discipline, resilience, and learning how to handle success and failure the right way. The lessons I learned through baseball helped me grow as both a player and a person, and that became the foundation for everything we do at Elite Baseball Coaching.

From day one, our focus has been on community, culture, and care. We’ve built a program that doesn’t just produce results — it builds character. Players are challenged to think, to adapt, and to lead. Coaches invest personally in every athlete who walks through the door.

In 2020, we helped establish the Brisbane Bandits Academy alongside former MLB player Donald Lutz, giving hundreds of athletes access to professional systems and pathways. After five years of growth and success, we chose to return to our roots — smaller, more personal, more connected to the community that started it all.

Today, Elite Baseball Coaching stands as a space where players of all levels can grow — not just in skill, but in confidence, mindset, and maturity. Because when we develop better athletes, we also help build better people.

Ryan Searle’s career reflects a lifelong commitment to baseball and to the community that raised him. A Brisbane local, Ryan signed with the Chicago Cubs organisation at just 17 years old and went on to spend 15 years as a professional, reaching AAA and representing Team Australia on the international stage.

Returning home, he became a cornerstone of the Brisbane Bandits, helping lead the club to four Australian Baseball League Championships and setting franchise records in every major pitching category. Known for his competitiveness, consistency, and leadership, Ryan earned a reputation as one of Australia’s most reliable arms.

In 2020, Ryan transitioned from the field to the front office, taking on the role of Commercial Manager and later General Manager of the Brisbane Bandits — the same team he grew up supporting. That same year, he co-founded the Brisbane Bandits Academy, creating structured development pathways for hundreds of young athletes across Queensland.

Ryan continues to dedicate himself to developing the next generation through Elite Baseball Coaching, combining his professional experience, leadership background, and lifelong passion for the game to help young players pursue excellence on and off the field.
